40 percent of our Bamboo Slider is made of a bamboo pulp created from reclaimed bamboo shards of materials such as construction scaffolding and chopsticks. The new material make up provides the same high level of protection our Slider Cases are known for while allowing us to reduce the amount of plastic used.

Bought this case the same week that I got my iPhone 3gs, still going strong after dropping it 3-4 times from waist high and up onto cement. Very strong, actually more resilient than the normal sliders, I'm guessing due to the bamboo material built into the case, as my girlfriend has the normal slider and it cracked after being dropped, the bamboo only dents and does not crack.
The only issue I have is that the sticky strips inside the case that hold it to the phone do lose their grippiness after a while. This doesn't affect it saving the phone when falling, but sometimes when pulling the phone out of my pocket, the half that I am pulling on will slide off the phone a little.
I still highly suggest this case if you need something that can withstand a beating. I am going to probably buy the same case but in a different color (I think beet) as when my girlfriend cracked her case, I gave her mine and said I would buy another.
The only other issue with this case in the eggplant color, it actually comes in more as a brown than a purple, which I didn't particularly like but also not enough to be mad about. Just be sure you're ok with a more brown look than you see online.
