FM transmitter work really well. Yes there is some static when nothing is playing but you can't hear the static when a song is playing. A better model would have included an ipod holder, but for sub $10 (including shipping) you can't beat this deal.

I just recieved this item and I LOVE IT and no im not one of the peeple who made this or work for this item or wateva so im not just tryina get someone to buy but trust me it is so worth more than the actual price like really my friends in the back seat could change the music i love the wireless capability it was mad easy to find the channel also and it honestly does not sound bad i wasnt even expecting it to work! now as the charger i dont know it does show that its charging my ipod but i honestly havent left it in there long enough to actually see if it charges it up man this item is the ish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its worth buying trust me!!

I purchased this for my daughter to use with her iPod Touch (First Gen). The transmitter works great and charges the iPod as well. A few of her songs have what seems like a reception problem, but this is probably due to the download source she used years ago in college. We highly recommend this very inexpensive device over more expensive models by more well-known companies. You certainly can't beat the price, especially since it doubles as a charger.

I have only used it few times. FM reception is OK., parts are cheap but what can you expect for the money. It works, sound is poor, but my speaker in the car are not the greatest so,that will make a differece in sound.
