This is my second Sandisk Sansa. I had an 8MB larger unit (but was about 4-5x larger and heavier) for a few years that was not bad. The smaller size and lighter weight of this player is sweet. Fits nicely in a pocket or clipped onto shirt for active lifestyle. Expansion slot is very convenient, making the relatively low price even more cost-effective. I love how easy this little player is to use compared to the other brand (Apple or something like that). The ability to easily drag-and-drop mp3s using Windows Explorer to load is what I find highly convenient. The display has very good visibility, even in challenging lighting conditions. Headphones that come with it were a non-issue for me, since I have my own mid-priced set.

So I bought one of these players from Amazon to replace my old and failing iPod video (5g). I have to say, it is almost the ideal music player. It handles gapless playback well (no gap on some formats, tiny gap on others) and can be expanded easily via the microSD card slot. I did a comparison test using the same headphones and mp3 file on my old ipod, my son's ipod touch, my wife's iPhone 3gs, and the Clip Plus. It smoked them all in sound quality. The clip plus also supports more audio file formats than some players. The microSD card is integrated into the main library well. The only complaints I have are that it is tricky to make playlists which include songs both in the internal memory and the microSD card...and that I wish there was a way to hide the Slot Radio option on the main menu. Other than those, the player is awesome!!! If you don't want to watch video or look at pictures, this is the player you want!

I bought the Sansa clip to use at the gym. When I first got it I worried that I'd need my glasses to read the screen, but I was pleasantly surprised. Don't be fooled by the size -- it packs a pretty big punch on sound. Another pleasant surprise! It stores quite a bit of music, and the quality of playback is excellent. I have not used the earbuds that came with the Sansa, however. Instead, I ordered the JBuds. I recommend both!

I purchased this Sansa Clip to use while running! It is absolutely the best I have ever used. It is so easy to operate. Super easy to
download songs. Set up was a breeze! The sound quality is superb! Perfect for running!
