Very disappointed with the 705, returned two units when both failed within two weeks, One stopped recording from the DVR station, and the replacement died when I attempted a reset. I own a 605 unit that I love, but I've had it with the 705

It's A PIECE OF JUNK "BUYER BEWARE" DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE IT'S A PIECE OF JUNK
I received it and I charged it up. I downloaded about 30 movies on it. I go to play one of my favorite flick's and it tells me that I need a widget to play it. So I order the widget from Archos. It cost $30.00 . I download it and install it. It still don't work. I played with this piece of junk for a week trying to make it work, and still it tells me that I need a mpeg widget to play movies. What did I just pay for.
"BUYER BEWARE"!!!
After a week of screwing around I gave up and put it back in the box and put it where the junk that I have bought that don't work as promoted to. I bought this brick for $200.00 & have spent about another $200.00 trying to get to work, to no avail. Would I recommend it to somebody else, "ABSOLUTELY NOT". Save your money and buy a 32gbt ONDA 7" Monster. It cost $169.00 and works right out of the box, and you don't need to buy widgets. The Archos is back in the box, And the Onda is on my night stand.

The battery does not last. I even bought a spare battery and it will not even charge. Very disappointing. I got it for traveling and it just does not last at all

What a piece of garbage. First of all, the volume is so bad that all the way turned up you can just hear it, not loud or even capable of being loud, second, the thing locks up so much, you'll spend more time removing the battery and resetting it than you will enjoy it, and third, the customer service is horrible,they are a bunch of rude people who think, people like being talked down to. my player stopped working within one year and after sending it back for repairs, they told me to buy another battery for $72 dollars are they would give me a 15% discount on a new one. why would I want to buy a new one in only one year. I am not normally so upset over any purchase but please take it from me, you'll be very sorry if you purchase this mp3 player.

I have fairly sensitive ears so I usually have to be careful with sound levels. Not so with this turkey! At its absolute top volume, you will barely hear a whisper from speaker or headphones. I've no doubt it does a lot of clever things - just a shame it is so useless at its primary purpose as a media player. Avoid like the plague!!!!!!!
