It's fashionable, but that's it. March 22, 2010 L. silva 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
At an Ellen show interview, Ellen asked Lady Gaga if what she was wearing was comfortable. She replied that it was fashionable. Unfortunately, it's the same response for "heartbeats".
Perhaps I was expecting a lot more out of this product. I also admit that I fell for the advertising machine, and since I'm obsessed with Lady Gaga - I bought her version.
First the sound...
I'm not a musician, so I'll do my best to explain. If your music is built for electronic noise and pumping, then the headphones will deliver. What I mean by "noise" is music such as hip hop, dance, house, techno, trance, and perhaps (I didn't test this) heavy metal. Basically, if bass or electronic synthesis is a foundation of your song - you'll have a good time.
So, I had a great time listening to Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Armin Van Buuren, Timbaland, The Killers, and more current Madonna songs. However, when it came to playing Coldplay, Green Day, Metric, and Tori Amos- it made no difference that I could tell at least.
Now, the product...
It doesn't fit perfectly. The product comes with a variety of ear buds, but that doesn't help. It should have been built as an over the ear product, like I've seen with other less expensive, but just as good products. As a result, it's not a good gym or jogging buddy.
If you have to buy this product, make sure you buy the ones that have the volume control on the cord (I think there is one). Because for $100 or even $45 dollars I expected a volume control - seems reasonable to me for the price, but unfortunately that's not the case with this product.
It does come in a nice box though, and a nice carrying case.
I did not purchase this item at Amazon. I bought mine for $45 at Ebay, and I'm glad I didn't pay the full price ($100 - $120) that I see in stores. So I'm not completely displeased.
I don't really recommend purchasing it. The best that I can say about this product is that it's nice looking, and does a good job at drowning out outside noise. But to be honest, I didn't see much difference between heartbeats and the headphones that came with my Ipod Touch. Too much is dependent on the quality of your mp3 player, and the quality and style of the song itself.

Arrived on time, this is a gift for my daughter, so far so good, hope it will last at least two years.
I don't have a problem with the triangles. March 16, 2010 J. Mitchell (Eugene, OR) A lot of people seem to be complaining about the triangle shape not fitting in their ears correctly, and I have had absolutely no problem with them fitting at all. I got the Rose Red and they are BEAUTIFUL. I love my Heartbeats headphones! <3
BIG disappointment March 6, 2010 Frederick H. Weston (College Station, TX) 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I workout for an hour a day/6 days a week and wear earphones the entire time. These look so cool I just had to buy them! Unfortunately, they would NOT stay in my ears. I tried all the sizes that they came with and none would stay in--at all. BIG disappointment--I returned them.
One dissapointed Lady GaGa fan... March 4, 2010 Koiku Murata (Huntington Beach CA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Looks great, I get lot of compliments. But it just won't stay in my ear! I've tried all different size attachments and none of them fit. They just keep falling out. And since it doesn't fit right, it doesn't sound right either. I'm going to keep it just for the heck of it, but I've gone back to my $20 Sony in ear headphone, which fits so much better. I absolutely love lady gaga so I'm very very disappointed, especially with the price I paid...
