Look no further, this is the one! December 6, 2008 A. Hoang (Bay Area, California) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I must say, when I first started looking for earphones it was hard to pick from so many to choose from. I finally decided to go with the J2 JBuds for a few reasons. The first reason was because it had pretty good reviews and the price was reasonable. To be honest, before I received my order I was a little apprehensive due to some poor earphones I had bought in the past. Fortunately, it turns out that going with these Jbuds was an excellent choice. The sound quality of these JBuds are definitely a lot better than the earphones that came with my iPod. These JBuds are noise isolating unlike the iPod ones, creating a music enviroment that sounds more crisp and live.
I want to add that I also own a set of Bose audio earphones that cost around $100 and these JBuds in my opinion meets or even beats the competition. The rubber earpiece fitting on my Bose had a tendency to always come off the earphones. These JBuds on the other hand, stay on pretty tight. You get three different size rubber fittings with the JBuds. I'm using the medium size and it fits my ears very snug and doesn't fall off, even when I shake my head vigorously. Also, the earphone is not big and bulky and fits in my ears without sticking out too much, unlike my Bose. After all, you still want to look good while listening to your music.
The cord is just long enough but not too long, around six inches longer than the factory iPod earphones. The material of the cord is similar to the ipod's, just a little softer but not too soft like Gummy earbuds which have a tendency to get tangled in hair or around itself.
Lastly, for the price(I paid about $25), you really can't beat the sound quality and physical quality of these JBuds!
Awesome Buds For The Price! December 6, 2008 Shane E. Schweizer 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got my blue buds Wednesday and I am more than impressed with performance. Just like Charlie, I tore into my package as if I was trying to win the "Golden Ticket" because I was so excited to put them on after reading all the good reviews on here. More on the packaging in a bit. My first song I jammed out to was Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall, Pt.2 because the song has all kinds of stuff going on with it, ie. bass, rhythm, highs, lows, and everything in between. I was a bit worried because some folks had mentioned the buds sounding "muddied" and I knew if that was true I was going to find out real quick. All I can say to those people now is; Clean out the wax in your ears! These buds by far and away blew out those poc headphones apple gives you with the iPod Touch. I also read in one of these reviews that music sounded bad at the 1000 Mhz level. I really think if your crazy enough to know your Mozart sounds bad at that particular level no set of headphones is going to make you happy. I bought these buds, because like everyone else right now, I just don't have a Ben or two to throw down on some buds. These are my first pair of sound isolating buds so all I can tell anyone is how these work. I wore them in downtown Boise on a lunch stroll and I could not hear any traffic noises at all, just my tunes. I also work in a very noisy office environment and when I had the buds in I couldn't hear any of my co-workers constant yapping. So IMHO the sound isolation works well enough that it will exceed most peoples expectations. I bet there are better options out there for the people who need complete silence, but again these are only $25. I also need to mention that these buds are so comfortable to wear. I have had them in for 2 hours at a time and there was no discomfort at all. As others have mentioned, there is nothing flimsy about these buds and you can tell they were made to last. My only complaint about my purchase has nothing to do with the buds themselves, but about the packaging they came in. Listen up Jlabs! There is no need to package a product that takes a chainsaw to get into. I just about cut off three of my fingers to get into the dumb package! For all those getting these buds make sure you have a real sharp knife and keep your fingers out of the way while attempting to break into Jlabs bomb proof packaging. In conclusion, these buds are right on the money for us consumers who are looking for a quality, awesome-sounding, low-cost option to replace those crappy headphones we get with our MP3's. Anyone who is buying a MP3 for a gift this year ought to do the recipient a favor and pick up a pair of these buds as well.
Not good for running December 5, 2008 philo (N.Cal) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I wanted quality headphones solely for running and bought these solely on the high recommendations. While the sound quality definitely is good I had a hard time keeping them from bouncing out of my ears while running. I had to pull my ears back and shove the buds in as far as I could to keep them in. Inevitably they would fall out again. I returned them for this reason.
Fantastic Earbuds! December 3, 2008 G. Sisak 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A great deal at under $25. They crush the headphones that come with your iPod. The sound quality is superb and the different sized tips ensure a great fit. Very very happy these headphones
Great Sound...COOL Colors December 3, 2008 Artist_MG (USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
These buds are comfortable and the sound is the best I've heard from a pair of buds to date. Because my ears are smaller, I've purchased and tried MANY ear buds. Most of them have been uncomfortable and inevitably fell out of my ears. The Hi-Fi Noise Isolating features are impressive as well. So far, I am very pleased with the JBuds J2 Premium Hi-Fi Noise Isolating Earbuds. Rock On!
